Customers that use several phones or a phone and a tablet may notice major changes since Meta just launched a very significant WhatsApp upgrade. Users of WhatsApp account may now access their accounts on up to four more devices with this upgrade. It’s an excellent feature, especially for business people or tech journalists who frequently move phones.
Here is all you need to know if you need to enable this function so you can use your WhatsApp account on numerous devices.
How to connect more than one gadget to your primary WhatsApp account or device
First, both phones and tablets that are linked can be utilised at once together with up to four devices. The connections between the devices are autonomous, but users must have a primary phone in order to sign up for WhatsApp and connect other devices to it. Linked devices will log out if they aren’t used for more than 14 days, which is another crucial point to remember.
Anyhow, to begin using WhatsApp on a second device, launch WhatsApp on that device, choose your chosen language if prompted, press the Agree and continue option if prompted to accept the terms and conditions, then tap the three-dot menu icon at the top. Click the green “Link a device” button. On the device you wish to connect to your main one, this will create a QR code.
Now turn to your primary device, open the three-dot menu, tap Linked devices, choose Link a device, and then scan the QR code created on the secondary device to link it to your primary smartphone. This procedure can be repeated for up to three more devices.
One of the extra devices is the WhatsApp desktop application.
