Quetta and Karachi
- QUETTA: Following rain, floodwater took away a bridge at Uthal, stopping vehicle travel between Quetta and Karachi, according to ARY News on Tuesday.
Two individuals were killed in a wall collapse event in the Parom region of Panjgur district due to heavy rain and wind, according to rescue sources.
In Aab Chah in Chagai, flooding was caused by torrential rain, wind, and thunderstorms. After significant rains, low-lying regions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border became inundated.
As cloudy weather predominates in the majority of the province’s districts, the Met Office has forecast additional rainfall along with wind and thunderstorms for the Balochistan districts of Kalat, Khuzdar, Ziarat, and Barkhan.
Maximum temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius were reported in Quetta, the province capital, while they were 22 degrees in Ziarat, 19 degrees in Kalat, 23 degrees in Pishin, 34 degrees in Gwadar, and 36 degrees in Sibi.
Rainfall in Balochistan and Sindh will stop as of tonight, according to a Met Office weather bulletin.
Parts of Balochistan were still experiencing heavy rains on Monday after starting last week, causing structural damage and crop losses.
Over the past few days, the weather system brought heavy showers to some areas of Balochistan. On Monday, Balochistan's northeast and south remained subject to nonstop rain.
According to a press release from the Balochistan Provincial Development Authority, Kech, Duki, Barkhan, Awaran, Khuzdar, Surab, Ziarat, Harnai, Zhob, Loralai, and other districts have experienced rain and flooding.
Musakhel, Qilla Abdullah, Pishin, Muslim Bagh, Makran, and Koh-i-Sulaiman all reported seeing rain as well.
