3-car collision
ROANOKE, Indiana (WANE) – The Huntington County Coroner’s Office (HCCO) reported that an accident north of Roanoke on Monday morning resulted in a man’s death and several injuries.
Authorities responded to an incident near the intersection of State Road 114 and U.S. 24 at around 10:40 a.m. on reports of a three-vehicle collision.
- When the police came, they found the male driver of a 2008 Buick Lucerne deceased in the driver’s seat. The body was identified as Robert L. Taylor, 81, of Wabash, by the coroner’s office on Tuesday morning.
According to the HCCO, medical workers took and had non-life threatening injuries to a hospital. She has been identified as Gwendolyn S. Taylor, 59, also from Wabash. the connection between the The FM dial for WOWO returns to 92.3.
The driver of the third car, Mallory E. Myers, together with two children and an adult female passenger were not injured, according to the HCCO. The third car was a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze.
The Buick and Chevrolet automobiles were parked at a stop signal when Floyd's truck rear-ended the Buick, the HCCO claims, causing the Buick to smash into the Chevrolet vehicle.
All three cars were forced into the junction by the impact of the collision, according to the officials.
The identity of the deceased man and the passenger in his car will be made public later, according to the HCCO, when the next of kin have been contacted.
Investigations into the crash continue.
