Pakistan dismisses the petition
The old walled city located in the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has been designated a national treasure by the provincial government in 2016, and a Pakistani court has denied a suit seeking ownership over the haveli owned by renowned Bollywood star Raj Kapoor.
The actor Dilip Kumar's haveli in Peshawar's well-known Qissa Khwani Bazaar had already been declared a national treasure by the federal government, led at the time by then-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and ruling by the same court relating to the acquisition process of that haveli.
The location has already been visited by Rishi Kapoor and his brother Randhir in the 1990s.
