A disturbing occurrence involving many persons jumping into a drain to retrieve cash was reported from the Indian state of Bihar.

A video of the event that showed many persons entering the sewer and retrieving a bundle of money notes with the denominations of Rs 2,000, Rs 500, Rs 100, and Rs 10 went popular on the social media site twitter.
Local villagers allegedly stated that they observed sacks carrying cash within the sewer in the early hours of the morning, according to stories in Indian media. Soon, a great crowd rushed in and began gathering the notes. Additionally, they insisted that the notes were real.

The local government is currently looking into who threw the cash notes in the drain and whether they are real.
