On Sunday night, the actors Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon, who were once romantically involved, had something of a reunion. To the amazement of their followers, the couple attended an award event in the city, were overheard conversing, and exchanged a kiss.
Akshay and Raveena can be seen seated next to one another at the HT India’s Most Stylish 2023 award in a video that has gone viral on social media. In the video, Raveena points out his heels as Akshay nods and the two chat happily.
In another video, Akshay receives an award from Raveena. The two start conversing again as the actor enters the stage to accept the prize and gives Raveena embraces.
Social media users were surprised by images of the pair introducing themselves and interacting. A: “Yeh kya dekh liya…. Asaaammmmbhavvvv!!! (What have you showed, this is impossible),” said one user, while another added, “This illustrates as time passes things get better themselves and you move on in life.. so don’t take today’s heartbreak too hard on yourself..” When you look back on it in ten years, you would be laughing.
Actress Shilpa Shetty also attended the occasion. In the 1990s, there were rumours of her dating Akshay. Akshay responded Mamta Kulkarni when he was asked during a rapid-fire round who the Malaika Arora of the 1990s was. There, Raveena paused before responding, “Yeah, I guess so,” to which Akshay inquired, “Tere dimag mein kuch aur hai (Do you have any other name)?”
Then, when Raveena remarked that Malaika always had a “amazing style,” Akshay once again pulled her wool over her eyes and chided her, “This is not politics, give a straight answer!” It may be Shilpa, Raveena said. She has always had a highly sophisticated sense of style,” Akshay said, nodding in agreement.
Raveena had talked openly about her love with Akshay and their later-called-off engagement. She was questioned about the Akshay Kumar chapter and how it still comes up everytime her name is googled in an interview with ANI. It seems like there is a fight going on amongst everyone he is associated with, she added.
