Cows that were grazing unexpectedly contributed to the police finding a wanted person in a rural part of North Carolina state in the United States.
The incident happened when Watauga County sheriff’s deputies and Town of Boone police officers were pursuing a guy who had run from a traffic light.
The authorities were unable to locate the guy because he left his car and ran into a wilderness region. The cows in an adjacent field, however, turned out to be improbable spies when they took the police right to the location where the culprit was hiding.
Authorities said that the culprit, 34-year-old Joshua Russell Minton, hid in the field but was quickly found out by the irritated cows. The police officers were appreciative of the unanticipated help and were able to apprehend the culprit.
The event was posted by Boone police on their Facebook page, emphasising how helpful the neighbourhood cows were.
