After a snake entered a substation, more than 16,000 residents in Texas, Texas, lost electricity.

According to a foreign news outlet, the event took place in Austin’s eastern neighbourhood about 1 o’clock (local time).
A representative for Austin Energy stated, “We’re aware of an outage affecting several circuits in the East Austin area and have crews onsite assessing the situation.”
Within an hour, the impacted communities had their electricity back.
Authorities acknowledged that the reptile’s entry into one of their substations triggered the power outage.
According to a spokeswoman, local wildlife may be to blame for power disruptions. They said that squirrels are mostly to blame for the issues.
It is important to note the difficulties utility companies have dealing with rodents. To deter the reptiles, the power companies are erecting electric fences.
