An official said that a fire started on Monday at the hydrocracker section of the Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. in the Golaghat district of Assam. No casualties or injuries have been reported, according to NRL spokeswoman Madhuchanda Addhikari, who talked to PTI on the fire’s management.
Around 7.20 p.m., a fire started in Vessel VV-4 of the refinery’s hydrocarbon unit, and firefighters were on the scene almost away to put it out.
She noted that early investigations into the fire’s cause have started but that the reason has not yet been determined. Adhikari stated that the exact amount of the loss suffered has not yet been determined.
