Reuters, June 2 – More than 2,000 Heathrow airport security personnel will strike this summer in protest of their poor pay, the Unite union in Britain said on Friday.
A representative for Unite told Reuters that although the dates will shift, “there will be significant industrial action.” However, the union did not provide any information on the strike dates.
Heathrow Airport said it has not yet received an official notification from Unite regarding their plan to strike in response to a Reuters request for comment.
Unite has previously said that the strike would last 33 days, beginning on June 17.
