Intel 14th Generation Core Mini-PC
The ExpertCenter PN65 is a next generation Mini-PC being developed by ASUS. The 14th Gen Core Intel CPU is now verified to be present in the next version of this product line, according to the spec sheet shared by @momomo_us.
The most recent version (PN64 series) comes with a high-end laptop CPU from Raptor Lake, the Core i7-13700H/13800H. The cTDP (configurable thermal design power) of the 45W SKUs is 35W. A successor could make use of a 28W 14th Gen Core CPU. It should be noted that Intel mobile CPUs H, P, and U series. The optimal CPU for the device’s power and thermal class should be chosen by the product design team, however each processor may still be fine-tuned by raising or reducing the TDP.
The naming scheme for the next mobile platform, which does not sound at all like the 14th Gen Core series, has already been verified by Intel. This indicates that The PN65 will offer faster DDR5-5600 memory in addition to the upgraded CPU (up from 4800 MT/s on the PN64). Support for faster memory is the main feature of the 14th Gen Core desktop series, thus should Intel update its mobile SKUs, such improvement would also be included here.
It’s important to note that the device purports to use Intel Iris Xe graphics, not Arc graphics, which are a Meteor Lake feature. This would serve as more evidence that we are truly investigating the most recent Raptor Lake upgrade.
