According to India Today, the three men—Wasim, Asif, and Azharuddin—were returning from a forest when a mob halted their car in the Rampur neighbourhood of Alwar district.
According to the area’s police chief SP Ranjeeta Sharma, the vehicle was being pursued by members of the forest department who had also arrived at the scene where a fight had broken out.
Wasim died from injuries sustained from a sharp object, although his two companions were hurt. Before the police arrived, the assailants had already left, SP Sharma continued.
According to the Hindustan Times, a FIR has been filed and ten people, including employees of the forest department, have been taken into custody.
In the meantime, the family of the deceased guy said that he was attacked because it was alleged that the three men were cow smugglers. According to Waseem’s brother Taufiq, “We want justice for Waseem and the harshest punishment for those responsible for my brother’s death.” This was stated in The Indian Express.
According to Tayyab, the attackers mercilessly struck Waseem in the torso with a sharp weapon before attacking the other two males with iron rods and wooden clubs. Even after the police intervened to save them, he claimed that “they continued to assault them in front of the police.”
