Rashmika Mandanna
is an Indian film actress and model who primarily works in Telugu and Kannada cinema, but has also made her presence felt in Tamil and Hindi films. Born on April 5, 1996, in Virajpet, a town in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, India, she pursued a pre-university course in the field of Science at Coorg Public School (COPS), Kodagu before she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Journalism, and English Literature from the Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Rashmika began her career as a model and won the Clean & Clear Fresh Face of India title in 2014, which gave her a significant boost in the industry. She subsequently became the brand ambassador for Clean & Clear. Then in 2016, she made her acting debut in the Kannada film industry with the film “Kirik Party,” which was a huge success and became one of the highest-grossing films of the year in Kannada cinema. Her performance as Saanvi won her critical acclaim and a SIIMA Award for the Best Debut Actress.
Riding on the success of “Kirik Party,” Rashmika quickly became one of the most sought-after actresses in South Indian cinema. She has starred in numerous commercially successful films across various film industries. Some of her notable works include “Anjani Putra” (2017) and “Chamak” (2017) in Kannada, “Chalo” (2018), “Geetha Govindam” (2018), “Sarileru Neekevvaru” (2020), and “Pushpa: The Rise” (2021) in Telugu. Her role in “Geetha Govindam” opposite Vijay Devarakonda was particularly well-received and helped her gain a wider fan base.

Rashmika’s off-screen life is just as eventful. She was engaged to her “Kirik Party” co-star Rakshit Shetty, but the couple mutually called off their engagement in September 2018 citing compatibility issues.
